11th Feb SATURDAY

NO SHOW today from the kaki. When he did not contact me before today, I already felt funny. Normally he does.

Of course, until I called him yesterday, telling him today was his fishing, than...........................

What ever reason, is bad for me to loose a weekend. Should have been let it to others. Many asked for today also, of course, I've turned them down.......

Just like few weeks ago, one turned me down only very short notice saying four kakis cannot go, must have five,( one turn them down ) Another kaki told me & said He taught he could cancel anytime as long as he gave me longer notice...............

Mean while, to all kakis, happy fishing..........

12th Feb SUNDAY

Weiming & brother + Phang came today. Phang was my fishing kaki who came in Dec & today he responded to Weiming's post for joined kaki.

It was a sunny morning, but wind already strong in the early. I told kakis not a good day to gao Naval Base ares, but Weimeng had made up his mind so I said OK but gave everyone a pre warning of the wind, choppy water & WILL get super WET.

Started fishing in near Naval Base break-water concrete wall. Not bad fish started landing...2 golden KBL, very rare Grouper, snapper... not big but having great fun.

Suddenly my rod had a pulled & it went down. I pumped back & realized that this was no small baby. It pulled back & went Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz I reeled in, yes...coning in slowing.. but again it went ZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz I tried again, it went ZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz and this time was fast & strong................ tried, very strong & suddenly, throw hook ( Off hook ) ShXX.... what a waste, I wanted so much to land this big one or at least know what the fish was that...

After missing the big one, the whole action stopped. I think all other fishes below were " Run for their lives "

Changed locations & spots many times. Biting were super slow & we were all very wet. Went to try my super spot, only 2 small groupers landed & no bite again. it was coming to 5pm & I had to call it a day. By the way, Phang was Pai seh, he was not in the photo.. hahaha...

Hope to see these guys again.

14th Feb TUESDAY

B who came before came with two new kaki today M & K. Supposed to go at 8.30am but went out around 9am.

Water tide was good today. No strong in the morning session. But very sad to say it was NO BITE day.

We changed & changed & tried drifting few times, even all the way to Tekong far Changi..........still no bite. About 2pm + one grouper about 600-00g landed.

Around 2.30pm. I went in all the way back to UBI. Try the grouper location. Well, only few landed. luckily one was about 1.3kg, 2 about 600-700g & the rest smaller once.

Don't know what the fish was going on these few days, luckily B came before & had a very good CR when he came. Otherwise who will believe unless they follow my Fishingkaki Forum or fish with me before.

Praise the Lord & all Gods, not forgetting the Mighty Sea Dragon King...

15th Feb WEDNESDAY

Jason & wife came today for the first time. We went out at 9am.
After few days of NO BITE days. Today seemed to be much better.

Was biting much better. Landed some good fishes. ( Dinner plate sizes )

kakis were very nice.Hope to see them soon.

18th Feb SATURDAY

The Ng family of 3 kaki came the first time. went out around 8.20am.

Straight to seletar, first bite within 3 seconds, a good size grouper.

Than to 2nd location, to 3rd, NO BITE. Try the 4th, haha, some groupers landed. Shifted again....... yes, golden KBL, another KBL...

Lunch at Change Village. It was raining cats & dogs.Went back to the previous location.... yes, snapper, grouper again...

For the weather & the water tide that we fish today, I would said it was not bad...Hope to see them again...by the way, thanks for the coffee & the lunch. Forgot to mention.. I put back 4 smaller groupers to the sea.

19th Feb SUNDAY

M & friend, 2 kaki came for the first time. M was my FK forum reader. He knew what the fish was going on of all my trips...hahahha... I really like that.

went out around 8.15am. Very little bites. Landed some groupers. Have to try other locations..............No bite.. tried others again..........No bite....Shifted again... Hmmm...No bite also...

Had lunch at Changi Village. Than to Aero-space exhibition site & tried....ha...a lot of Indian groupers ( Arumugam )& a blue stripe grouper ( Trout )...

Tried behind Ubin, Good pulled by not hooked up. At around 4pm. I had to call it a day.

I felt very bad that today wasn't a good day compared to yesterday, but M was happy & booked for March....Yea......... many thanks for M on all the coffee, drinks & bananas...........................

20th Feb MONDAY

Big, medium, small. 3 KBL. Small KBL about 1kg. Few good size groupers, snapper around 500g & smaller groupers. Put back 2 groupers to the sea.

Patrick & friends, all 3 new came today. Only 3 locations bite today but landed OK. missed 3 serious pulled again b cos sangkut lah.....

Kaki were happy. Me too.

Hi Uncle Dave, thanks for bring us to few spots. this is 1 of the best trip i ever had in east water. BTW, i had finished all the fishes .. yummy..

21st Feb TUESDAY

Today was a Sweet Lips Day. 4 good size sweet lips landed. Smallest around 850g. Biggest ??? you guess......

Grouper locations did not bite well today. Luvkily for the Sweet lips that made up the day.

Bryan & his TP friend were here on the 8th Feb & they came today with 2 more new kaki. One virgin in boat fishing Well, today had quality but not much quantity. I would said OK lah

22nd Feb WEDNESDAY

Sweet mommy S came 2 weeks ago & today she brought her father & 2 more experienced kaki to my baby boat.

Went out around 8.30am. First stop, No bite. Shifted few locations, landed few groupers, golden KBL, snapper.......

After lunch we went drifting for 15 minutes & went to try KBL spot...only one good pulled but kaki could not tell if it was a KBL...



Tried groupers....yes, more fishes landed, kaki missed 3 solid pulled, very solid pumped also.... burst line & sangkut...

Overallthe catch was OK. S had to go back early, we called off around 3.40PM. kaki were pleased. be seeing S on the 24th March

25th Feb SATURDAY

Andrew & frens came few weeks ago & today he brought his dad & other 3 kaki who had game before.

Good weather. Very mild wind, but when I looked at the water this morning, my heart sank. It was greenish dark brown color again.


Truly, NO BITE, NO BITE, NO BITE.........around lunch time, the whole boat landed only ONE golden KBL.E.......

Had our lunch, tried again second round. This time slightly better, some groupers,, snappers ....than a dark color sweet lips, KBL.

Luckily the second half landed some better fishes

26th Feb SUNDAY

Another day of dark greenish brown colour water again. Even kaki saw this morning got a shock. I took them prepare for the worst.

Suprised !! first half of the day were OK fishes landed. One very rare 3 kg triple tale. kaki were so happy & pumped up mood.

But, second half was.....disaster... NO BITE, No BITE, NO BITE... Only smaller once were caught. I extended the time to 5pm, Still bad, had to called it a day.

Kakis were all my regulars. Luckily they knew me well. They were still happy & discussing where & how to cook the biggie

27th Feb MONDAY


Leng & brother & Poh came 2 weeks ago & today they came again. The weather was good today. Water colour was slightly better than yesterday.

Went to the very first location. Big snapper, KBL, groupers but missed many solid pulled.

Went to few more locations, missed few good pulled again...

2nd half of the day, things slowed down a lot. about 3pm, went to another location & got some more fishes......hmm....... not bad for the day. if most or all the missed fishes were landed it would be perfect..that's what the kaki said slao...but they have fun, already booked for March.......................Yeeppy....
