1st Dec THURSDAY

First day of the month with Chung who came 2 weeks ago brought 2 other friends who were first time on my baby boat.

Had a good morning start. Landed many groupers. Hooked on a KBL & off hook due to jumped up of the water. Kakai was very upset & %%%$$@@**((&&&&FFFFF@@@@@@

2nd spots & 3rd & ....... infact, were all OK even after lunch at Changi Village.

Around 4.15pm, we went behind Ubin, this time was bad, 'O' bite. But luckily our catch for the day was not bad. We also put back 8 groupers & one Big Head back to the sea.

3rd Dec SATYRDAY

First timer A & J on board. Both are experienced kakis. We had a good start in the morning but wasn't Ok at loyang.

After lunch we went Changi Drifting & had 3 more snappers & a big cuttle fish. Raining as usual, Bite wasn't good at all.

went behind Ubin, few more smaller once. We let go few smaller groupers & called it a day around 5.30pm, extended more than hour for them.

Kakis were very nice guys, hope to see them soon.

4th Dec SUNDAY

J & four others frens came today, all were new kakis. We went Seletar first but very low biting rate. Went second location, luckily it landed quite OK. We stayed there for few hours.

Afternoon, went drifting but No No.......... buy extra prawns & to Loyang, OK this time .... changed to a very shallow water spot, biting too, & landed good groupers, super surprise as this spot only good in snappers.

4.15pm we went to OBS but no action & it was about to rain. We called it off around 4.45pm.

All were funny & nice guys. One talked the most, he named himself in Cantonise " Many Mouths Street " meaning... talk a lot.....

I liked that. made the whole trip with noise & alive.

5th Dec MONDAY

2 guys called me early today & asked if they could go fishing from 12noon to 5pm. I was about to go Marina to wash my boat & I told them OK.

2 round round came again. Previously were 2 Chinese, but this time were 2 Malay Muslim round round, Very nice & polite guys.

Started 1st spot with not much luck, Then the 2nd location seemed to be much better. We shifted few times & at around 4.15pm, due to very important family reason I have to called it a days. In fact, it was the the guys who told me is OK because it was really important to go.

I really appreciate that. Many thanks to them for the understanding. I owed them one.

I was in a hurry that I did not take any photos. I will take the next time I meet them

6th Dec TUESDAY

Two Malay Muslim round round came yesterday called this morning & liked to go fishing again. I was very pleased to hear from them.

Set off at noon. Today, not much results, we had about 10 fishes yesterday & only 5 today. Not much biting.

We hooked up a big cuttle fish but as soon as the cuttle fish surfaced, one of them got surprised & shocked..........................so funny...........

Not much bite today. Fishes was less they were still happy.

8th Dec THURSDAY

Mr. Big round round L came alone today. I was very surprised. He told me 2 of his cousins could not made it. I was very pleased while this was what I called a true loyal kaki with true friendship.

His aim was to get A KBL. After the last 3 trips he did not get any. I really wanted him to get one KBL also.

He landed one good size snapper. Than mid size groupers, a good size grouper too. Change a location for KBL, he hooked on something than he said, " I think is off hook............." than we saw a KBL came up with his line & hook & it started to splash & jump off the water. Off hook................damm........the KBL was actually swimming upwards to the surface, he thought it was off hook because the line was very light, no more pulling.

What a waste he said.............. .............we were still thinking about it even after few hours.

Rain started to pour with thunder & lightning. No more bite, we called it a day about 4pm.

He told me he'll be back for the KIM....

Yes Mr Dave. I'll be back. And I'll bring everything I can to get me a kim. We'll turn your baby boat into a warship and torpedo those suckers if we need to!

Argh!!! How the hell did I let it throw my hook???!!! Whole night curse my luck...

I feel bad too, but I love your fighting spirit.

9th Dec FRIDAY

Paul & girl friend was new to my baby boat. Bought me coffee & lunch, haha, the coffee made my day as always.

Slow start, went drifting later part, Ah girl seemed to enjoyed & handled well when drifting which I was very surprised. Not many first timer can handle when I brought them for drifting. Good for her.

Went behind Ubin, Paul landed a good size grouper & he was very pleased. Lightning & thunder came in the late afternoon. Ah girl wanted to called it off as she was afraid. we started to go & the rain started to pour.

Landed safely at the pier & it was still raining. We had to take the photos in my baby boat boat. Not bad at all. We had a rare golden KBL & missed a few solid pulled especially Ah girl... [/color]

10th Dec SATURDAY

Ms. Constant booked for today's trip more than a month ago. She did not come today, except 3 regular faces & one new kaki.

A very good start at Paris Ris, than it slowed down. After lunch was slightly better. Action came around 1pm, more groupers & snappers.

Around 3.20pm, the tide was low, water slowed down & the bite was "O".
We called it a day & went back to Ponggol.

I saw Constance waiting for everyone at the Pier 5. Nice to see her. We took pictures & bye bye to everyone.

See them in 2012 soon.

A mistake booking lead to No booking today. Ah............... Partly my mistake, I did not ask the date, only ask the day. Luckily I called to check again.

Others called me & I told them today had been booked.

What a day to waste.......

13th Dec TUESDAY

This morning went out with a guy who used to ' Hang ' around in Ubin areas for many years long long ago. We circle the entire Ubin for about 3 hours.

He was very pleased, brought back old memories

15th Dec THURSDAY

Louis + wife & kid + 1 friend first time on my baby boat.

First round O. Went to Pasir Ris & landed few. Around noon we caught a big Golden KBL. Is very rare for that size in local changi, Ubin waters.

Went drifting & landed another KBL & others. Final location was to aim for groupers. I landed a good size one & little boy landed a mid size grouper. Not bad at all.

Overall, we landed 3 KBL, 5 groupers, some snappers, a good size black sweet lips ( I have the actual name, let you guys know when I check it out )& other smaller once.

Forgot to take group fish photo & group kaski photo. What was I thinking & doing ???

16th Dec FRIDAY

Jan & fishing buddy brought a new kaki today. He's not round round like them

We went at 9.30am. Jan called me very early & told me they cannot wake up on time, over slept.

First location no bite, than to the second location, action started....went to other locations, not bad too.

I brought them to Changi Village to makan & buy some extra fishing accessories than carry on fishing till 5.50pm.

Today had the highest rate of big solid pull, big pump but sad to say.....none landed
because the spot I went was highly " Sangkut " area. Even I have problem. But that's good. The fishes were still there, I can tell you............they were big because it was bloody heavy & solid pull & fight.............

17th Dec SATURDAY

Koh & 4 other kakis were all new to my baby boat. We set off around 8.15am.

The catch was not bad at all for today. Just like today, I did not even went behind Ubin for the pass few trips.Give a rest for the nest there.

We have 2 golden KBL & one big yellow KBL, not bad,

18th Dec SUNDAY

Johnson & 3 frens, total 4 new kakis today. It was such a wonderful morning until about 9.30am. Things started to change.

The whole fishing trip was rain.....stop.........rain.........wind........rain......stop.... water was cold, biting was low.

I went behind Ubin today to try, not good either. Only 2 groupers. Well, have to called a day around 5.30pm.

It rain even more heavily than....... oh...what a day wet wet ...

20th Dec TUESDAY

Senior William just came fishing on my baby boat not long ago & today he brought 4 new frens with him.

Went out around 8am+. First few location small catches. Than proceeded to Ubin & things turned better.

About 2pm we started to go Changi & loyang, William hook-up a very big whopper KBL, the line went ZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz few times. I knew is going to be big & had the big net standing by.............than we saw the big KIM surfaced.. I told William " be careful.. don't let it jump.......' & it did. Turned & twist & splash... off hook & went down to the deep.............

Everyone on the boat saw the whole " catch & run-away movie "....
Ah......all were upset..but still made a joke out of it.haha.........But is Ok, William already caught a KBL almost 2kg+- earlier.

Overall landed was pretty OK I must say despite the cold water & it had been raining for days.... see by yourself...

22nd Dec THURSDAY

Amos with 4 other kakis came for the first time. First location small catches, than to the second spot, KBL..... hahaha..... & other goodies too.

Proceeded to the next, groupers, sweet lips, Me & one kaki missed 2 good chances.. hooked-up, heavy, but half way up sangkut...
Than hooked up a solid one, pull......fight.....ZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz jumped up...... went down......pull & fight........., guess what ???? it was a big Bennet. I don't know how you call in local dialect but our friend post it in face book & named it " Swa Teng fish " Hokkien meaning mountain top fish..hahahahaha............What the fish...........hahaha. How on earth did he come out that name ????? may be he was from the high mountain......hahahahahaa............

Back to KBL spot, we started eating lunch, Ah girl's rod started a solid pull, we shouted, she help up the rod, it pulled even harder that the whole UGLY STICK ( ROD )bended to a big U shape & still went ZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz Ah girl held on......... .............BURST LINE.... what the @#$%^&^&*(()))%$^&&#@, highly suspect a huge KBL, Mam,.....what a waste...

Just like yesterday, we landed an octopus, later we went to buy extra prawns try the last location. Ah girl hooked up a big one again, pump & pull, ..............is a huge puffer fish. hahaha.. ah girl play it for a little while ( let it go & pull back )then released.

Suddenly One kaki shouted, SHARK..SHARK. I GOT A SHARK .....we all got exited & watched him pump up the SHARK...........Holy mother of fish, is Ah SENG lah................

Than Amos hooked on something very serious this time, rod bended full, he tried to pumped up... slowly,, but it was super heavy, it pulled back down again... Amos tried again, slowly......... too heavy man..... tried .............OFF HOOK........... @#$%^%%$@#!#$%^&**&^%$#@@#$$%

Overall it was a good fun day, we called off around 4.40pm. kaki booked for Jan 2012.

23rd Dec FRIDAY

Ivan & younger brother, but bigger size round round came again. Both were very very nice guys.

It was a lovely morning, went out around 8.15am to seletar but came back to Ponggol Marina around 10am....???????????? Came back to Pang Sai ( Poo Poo ) Lah.....

Went straight to Grouper spot... in fact, we stayed there till 3.30pm. Did I said a lovely morning ?? Ya.. only for a short morning, after Pang Sai ( Poo Poo )the sky started tuning darker & started to rain for the whole afternoon & late afternoon..

But thank to the Sea Dragon King again Our catch were not bad at all for a raining day with cold water.

24th Dec SATURDAY

The Yong sisters & Tay came to Ponggol at 8am. We went straight to Seletar & landed quite good catches. Than like yesterday, we went back to Marina for about 15 minutes.

Later we proceeded to Pasir Ris, loyang & Changi. No Bite, due to very fast down tide current, rain & very windy.

Went behind Ubin & caught some more groupers. 3.30pm onwards, the biting was very low. About 4.35pm, I called it off as I know is no point waiting any more.

We missed a few good pull today, I called it not bad for today for the 3 new kakis.
