I don't have a lot of knowledge on hypalon when I was introduced to it recently. Most of our rods come with weight-saving and trusty EVA so I haven't seen a lot of rods with hypalon grips.
Anybody care to shed some light on their differences apart from weight and durability? Difficulties in fitting or shaping? (Somehow I love old-school finger groove grips) Or perhaps more importantly, the differences in their applications so I can choose a custom grip for my rod better informed?
I have seen exotic grips from overseas mainly from animal skins as well. Obviously I don't know even a single local angler with such a grip. But if you do have knowledge to share with regards to exotic materials for grips, I will be grateful.
Everybody loves a little novelty but my rod shouldn't be too painful on my hands.
Much thanks!
