I was looking around for Carbontex drags for my daiwa phantom J 4500. However the only one that sells those drags that I have found is in S**le T**ckle in Beach road. They do not have the exact size for that reel. Anyone could have some advice. The last resort would mean i have to buy one that is a little bigger and cut it down to size. Anyone knows where I could get the drags for this reel. Thanks a lot.

if it is smaller, would it affect the functioning of the drags?

order online @ http://www.smoothdrag.com/

few ways you can do. go sabre take a look, for nearest fit brag washer. if not get slightly bigger and use sandpaper to snad the outer dia down slightly.

if not go website given above, see if there is ready cut size drag for your reel.

if not you go to their 'loose size drag disc size' page. then measure your current drag then get similar size. remember to check for internal dia too. get bigger not small so you can sand it down slighly.

my tip for you, dun get loose sized with internal dia too big for your reel. internal dia get as close (can be slighly bigger but not too big as drag disc tend to 'run' if internal dia is too big, result in having some sort of rubbing/friction when spool is turned.

hope you get what i mean.

the shipping for the drag is not that ex. as it is very light.

Did u try lurehaven? They will help u install the drag.
The carbontex drag is too thick for my jigger 2000NRP,
They help to buffer it so that it could fit right in nicely.
