Dear Anglers,

Good news for all marker shooters, Fishing Paradise will be bringing you back to the good old days of fishing at Bishun Park and Chinese Gardens.

We will be allowing a maximum of 3 single de-barbed hooks on a single rig.

House rules still apply with baits and no foul hooking of fishes.

We will allow anglers to bring back the following fishes

- Tilapia below 1kg
- Patin/rohu/walking catfish/songhe below 3kg

Happy shooting Very Happy

Folks,

Very thoughtful idea. Will definitely be there... However, let me use 3 hooks, let me shoot marker, there's always a good chance that the fish will not be hooked in the mouth..

whats yr definition of foul hooking?

I love marker shooting too Smile

I think what the FishingParadise mean is that there should be no "intentional" foul hooking of fish i.e you purposely cast the line into the water without bait. You then retrieve the line and set hook whenever it crosses a fish.

However, if you foul hooked a fish when it was nibbling the bait, that's fine as you did not do it intentionally. The purpose of market shooting is to target fish that nibbles the bait off bit bit bit instead of gulping it at one go

FP is pretty liberal as they allow up to 3 single hooks for market shooting. Try doing it at FW3 with just 1 single hook, trust me, this is really tough Smile

Hi FishingParadise,

Pls ignore Fishpace, he was most probably drunk when he posted the message Laughing

Need some advice from you:

1) What are the productive timing to fish in FP? Early morning or late evening? My experience is 10am onward to 4pm are not good time to fish because of the hot weather. As each session in FP is 7 hr so i have to decide whether to go in the morning on evening to make full use of it.

2) What are the universal baits to use in FP? The variety of fish is quite vast in FP. Is bread and sausage universal enough to target herbivorous and omnivorous species using marker shooting.

I look forward to your reply. Thanks in advance.

Hi Geo,

we have change the full session to 12hrs so you dont have to worry abt morning or evening bite rate...

You are right that the best bite rate is 7am-10am ,4pm-8pm and after midnight...

There are a few area that more productive on marker and the best bait is bread.

Use smaller hooks like size 1 for higher hit rate...

hope this will help Very Happy

cheers
FP
