This little fellow took an orange clouser right on the drop. I was looking for pelagics but wasn't able to find any, so I settled for the next second best thing by fishing the rocky outcrops hoping for a barra or 2 LOL. Incidentally, my first saltwater fish (landed) on fly in local waters.

Now the northeast have started, have anybody here started hitting the pelagics (i.e. queenfish) yet? Any tips? It'd be nice to work something out ![img][/img]

Good Day,

Congrats on your first saltwater fishy! Years ago when I lived in Changi I would sometimes fish the break waters and the like. If I may make one suggestion? I would tie in a weedguard for flies that you fish around the rocks to help prevent loss of flies getting hung up in the rocks. You might still lose one or two, but a weedguard will definately help.

Steelie
