Description: Basic Fishing Course aims to provide you with an introduction to the angling opportunities available in Singapore and nearby waters, as well as impart practical know how to set up a rod and reel to catch fish. Miss at your own angling peril.
Fees: Free

Bedok Jetty Fishing Trip 11 October 2008
8.15am Meet @ Bedok MRT
Fishing from Estimate 9.00am to 1.00pm
Description: Bedok Jetty is THE PLACE most anglers inevitably end up trying once. You usually get many small fish and occasionally one big one. Lots of sun(or rain), anglers and curious beach goers jostling about for space, this is where you will test the practical stuff you learnt in the Basic Fishing Course. Further information will be emailed to people who confirm attendance. SIMAC will then adjourn to a nearby hawker centre for lunch.
Fees: $5 plus bus/shared taxi fare to Bedok Jetty from Station

In line with our 2 events per month schedule, I shall not plan any events that will stretch you guys’ time and budget constraints. I will be starting a new thread at fishingkaki.com SIMAC forum with a vote as to which event you want SIMAC Committee to organize. Prawning @ Sin Ming again, or you might want to try for bigger quarry at Lakeside Fishing Village, you let us know and we will make it happen.
