CR north-east side longkang 14 May 2012

Caught this guy using Daiso vibration shad. The longkang had some pb as well (dunno what kind), 1 actually took the shad and I managed to lift it out of the water but it suddenly threw hook. Played with the other pbs they were chasing it but no more strikes after that until this "tor sat" whacked it! Quite a good fight for a newbie like me, weight was about 1.5kg as approximated by a passing encik.

Nice Catch there man.

Still remember wen I hook-up a Tor-Sat
at BR. Though the fight was short, its initial
response is that it will twist and turn thrashing
the water violently. Feels scary rather than shoik esp
wen fishing at nite alone.

Just to add on,
u guys dun reli need to cut the poor fish's
spines as it still needs it for protection,
unless you're planning to keep it.

One method is to use your rod and hold it down
on its top between the head and the top spine.
Dun bend too much else you'll end up killing the
fish or breaking your rod. Jus enuf to stabilise it
for hook removal. Becos they're hardy fishes, simply
use a long stick and push it back to the water.

Lots of people + Spot = No fish
Few people + Spot = Few Fish
No People + Spot = Many Fish

But sometimes,
No People + Spot = Better don't go.....alone!!!
