Hi.Have been to the pond on student deal a few times and normally use an apollo rig.Only ever caught 1 fish and some trips,no bite at all.Im normally using taiwan saussage.Any tips?

The fishes in the pond are smart due to fishing pressure, so we have to outsmart them by using non-conventional methods. Generally, the fishes there are able to detect floats and weights. Did you observe that the fishes there will eat those free floating bread and totally ignore those that are fished with a float? So get creative and try to outsmart them... One method to fool those fishes in FP is by using "floating bread" or freeline bread method. This is how it goes:

Try free-lining (no weight or float used) a big piece of bread at one of the pond's filters with pumps spraying water towards the centre of the pond. Let the water current at the pump carry your floating bread slowly into the center of the pond. When your bread reach a certain distance, you can see patins and pacu will feeding your bait with ease as this form of bait presentation is very natural. Berley with pieces of breads enhance your chance and bring the fish closer to you.

This is a simple method, but yet deadly to the fishes in FP. You can easily hit 10 fishes during a full session at FP just by fishing this way. The usual catch are patin and pacu using this method. Its also not uncommon that RTC, CPC and other fish are also caught on floating bread.
