Hi bros, im looking at taking over a kelong in batam.And would like to noe if kelong in malaysia are better than those in batam and any bro who can share their view in running kelong.i hav been fishing all my life and it is more a hobby than business to me but of cos i hope to make more money in my hobby.Discount will be given to all kaki. tks u.

i understand we hav to hav alot of undertable to get things to work.but it's closer to sg.the ideal is to hav a place where ppl can really relax and enjoy without having to drive a few hrs. Its takes 45 ferry to batam 20 min car another 15min ferry.This i think everyone can take it.

i been there and the connections with goverment officers must be there as i work there before for 5yrs i know how they play their game

the nearest kelong in Malaysia to Singapore I think is Chia Soon kelong, no need drive up, just take ferry boat from Changi Village ferry terminal, but is about 60 to 75 min boat ride.....
but well, I have no idea about Indonesia.

bro, my honest opinion if you wish to take over kelong in batam then few things you need to prepare.

you need to be mentally prepare that you will lose your capital
you need to fork out more money to maintain it regardless of actual maintenance or pay kopi money etc

if all above are okay with u then enjoy it! for me i rather buy a 50k fishing boat..
