I have rods with dirty corks due to years of handling. instead of changing new corks, I am intending to wrap them over with heat shrink tubings.

Maybe seasoned rod builders here can advise if I need any special tools to heat the tubing? Is there a preferred temperature to shrink it properly?

Will be grateful if someone points it out to me.
