Land this 1 after about 5 minutes fight.
Really put the 4wt redington wayfarer rod from Bro Tycozer to a test.
Bloodworm pattern works like charm for this fish.
Manage to land 4 of this monster in 3-4 kgs range.
Boy, when they strike, they strike like mad.
I got a permanent scratch on my fingers from the flyline.

Hi Chris,
sorry to reply so late.

Just found out I post in the wrong section before and moved here.
It's in Indonesia, a pond specialize in big Pacu and lots of catfish.
The biggest pacu there is 13 kgs and biggest pangasius catched last month is 10.6 kgs.

Just manage to catch a grass carp 2 days ago during night fly testing. 5.9 kgs / around 80 cms long, and I thought fly is not effective during night. Man, I was wrong.

that's some good fish dude!!! and some seriously chewed up flies, what you can do next itme which is really not much work is use san juan worms, easy to tie, and its pretty effective worm imitation Very Happy hooked up trout on them in NZ... im just curious, were you in coho a few weeks back buying a sage rod?

I've never been to coho, I'm really new to flyfishing (3 months maybe). Will definitly pay them a visit next time. Bought a TFO recently from them via a friend.

Can I contact you if I go to Sg to enjoy some fly spot there ?
I plan to spend a full week to flyfishing in Sg.

Never tried the the San Juan Worm before. I'll give it a try. But during night, only flies with sparkling chenille/mat'l got response on my exp.
