Spotted this snagged at Pasir Ris Park Mangrove (fishing is prohibited)....wonder how that guy work this..... rigged like a jig, except it's a lure...

Wow!!! Very innovative!

Think he is using the lure to imitate a fish feeding on smaller fish or crustacean thereby attracting other fish to investigate and upon finding the trailing jigs thinking its food dropped off by that fish(lure) strike on it and get hooked! Hahahaha!!

Manado, I think u may be right, I did not see the broken line at the lip rung (always there is a tiny piece even when burst, except knot slipped) thought they may have tied at the tail? Embarassed

Whatever the style or technic this fella is using, only he knows for sure what fish/bird this "Rig" is gd for!! Haha!

A cheaper way is to use a cork or foam popper and attach a length of feathers/flies to the rear.

This is actually a popular rigging method for quite a few species as this commotion on the surface attracts fishes to think that there are other fishes feeding there and they rise to see a bunch of shrimp which are easy targets...
