Dear fellow Anglers,

As the lease of bottle tree park will be coming to an end in late sept, and SLA will is opening up the area for re tendering.

Fishing Paradise would like to seek possible proposal for the running of the same pond compound as we will be engaging the new tenant for Fishing Paradise to continue to operate in the area. We hope to serve you guys better.

Pls send us your proposal and if the plan really work out well for us, we will work out some rewards to you.

A simple sketch or pointer form are welcome as well. Pls send to our email fishingparadise.se@gmail.com
. We look forward to your suggestion and we will continue to bring big game fishing to your door step.

Some of your points that you can touch on can include type of fishing, type of fishes to be released, how to max the usage of the pond, ect

Hi FP
what about a evening session from evening to closing time?
i think that will encouraged lots of anglers to visit the pond during that hour especially after work.
Years ago, when Bishan park pond operator start the evening session, you can ctually see the huge increase in the number of anglers visiting the pond after work. And since FP is a CNR pond ,i dun think i will cause any increase in the cost of stocking up the fishes any futher.
The present is $55 for a 12 hrs of fishing and $35 for 2 hrs?and of cos members would get a better rate and so those who feel like cooling down at the pond after work might be hold back by the cost.
2 hrs is too short to relax over there and pay a $55 for a full day fee dun seen to be right for the next 6 hrs or so.....

just my 2 cents......

How about FP management starts with changing of the water in the pond?

The water condition has gotten from bad to worse over the years and the catch rate has decline as well.

You cannot expect us to pay good $ just to sit around to suntan and enjoy the rain while the fishes don't bite.

I also noticed the lack of servicing done to the pond. Many times I reel back rubbish (plastic bags, lines, swivels, hooks, decaying plants etc etc) from the bottom after my cast.

And the dying plants floating around the pond just makes the situation worse.

Imagine what the fishes are going through in the pond. Doesn't take a genius to tell u why there's no bites.

Brown algae can float on the surface and nothing is done as well.

I see other anglers trying to bring back dead fishes floating on the surface while the staff continue to play with his lure. Of cos I don't see him luring when Edmund or Samuel is around.

I have been there on days where I see the whole pond quiet with no actions for HOURS.

If you are saying that i need to change my method of fishing etc, then might as well you tell that to all those anglers who are using different bait and methods and still get no bites.

There are reasons why there are lesser anglers at the pond. Its the poor catch rate my friend.

Clean + service the pond and change the water.

1. Allow angler to carry forward unuse hour like prawning with maybe a top up during next trip.
2. Have more shade for the fish to hide in as most of the fish currently are at the Hut area.
3. If weekend can be 24 hours will be great.
4. Peacock bass, big mouth bass or KBL? They are more likly to take lure.

I had been to Thailand for fishing and pay $100 per rod.
The catch is incredible high.

So if the water condition is good and the bite rate is high, I am sure there will be more people visiting even from oversea.

Move to Pasir ris and convert the current Pasir ris MAIN pond to FW C&R!
A size of that pond can hold HUGE HUGE monsters i guarantee ! but of course it'll take a lot of effort and $$$$ to do so, especially having to drain out that amount of SW from the pond itself Smile

hahahah just my 2cent and creativity Smile

Hi Fishing Paradise,

FP fishing has really changed my course of Fishing. I have always been a saltwater angler be it Pasir ris pond, offshore etc. But when FP started I am hooked on the RTCs and CPCs....never expected this form of fight from a freshwater fishing. And finally get to understand why some tackles cost as much my yearly personnel insurance.

For a start we all understand the various constraints with your current tenant, that restaurant is really getting in the way. With the lights, noise, restricted entry places really is a hazard for all anglers. Scaring all the fishes most of the time especially at night. Use to allow fishing at the stage area after 11pm but even that has been disallowed.

That 2 stupid huts is another hell of headadge for all of us, fishes seem to have homing device build in once bite will dashed towards that corner. Think most of us would have to agree we had more line breakages in the pond than any other pond. Yes it provides a safe haven for the fishes but do we really have to go through the agony as it damages our line and loses our terminals. Despite guessing what size and type of fish we lost.

Why allow swam boating when it comes to a fishing pond. Perhaps another hiding haven for the fishes under the jetty but again it really is not a welcome activitie at all. Not to talk about portion corden off for no fishing during sat night.

Center 2 floating bouys is another hazardards especially when fighting the CPC, Where in the world do we ever see ponds with more hiding structures than this pond. Of course some will say that makes it more interesting and challenging but we come to enjoy fishing, not competition and line abration testing. Compare to FW3 this is a much bigger pond and we all will enjoy alot more if, just if you can help to reduce these structures.

So if new tenents were to come in. Please negotiate to have these remove such that we can enjoy FP fishing. You guys really have done enough. Cheers guys. Keep it up.....

Marcus. L

Hi bro Marcus, obstructions and structures are there for a reason. Where is the fun of fishing when you just hook the fish up take a picture and let it off? Structures allow as to utilize our skill as anglers, controlling drags, lifting power, cranking & etc. That is where the fun is.

There's other pond with more structure than FP locally. If not the challenge of landing fish is not so fun anymore.
Using heavy tackle in some pond is common in other asia country.

Well, that's what I said the good part is that it creates a more extreme challenging environment for all serious Ametuer/Pro anglers. Not forgetting the stories that we bought back with us at the end of the day i.e. you know that was a 20 kilo RTC just now etc.....Haha

I was comparing FP with IT monster lake in Bangkok, it has a much bigger pond with hardly any obstacles at all. And it does create any form of fishing fun not found in any local fishing pond. Lots of swimming/dashing spaces and a lot of room of fish fighting. FP is so close to that kind of feel. It's not about having heavy tackle but a pure test of reel/rod/line/hook/angler skillset combination. Not so much focus on line abrasion resistence. These also allow us to use lighter tackles & terminals.

Well, cheers to all anglers. I just have a very enjoyable trip at FP on Wed. FISH ON!!!
