I would recommend a PE5 rod paired with a multiplier to crank heavy sinkers as sometimes the current can be quite strong ard Eastern Bank or Horsburg

Can take a look at Shimano Beastmaster pairing Shimano Torium should be able to meet yr budget at 500 and still got some spare cash to buy lines and sinker
