FC leaders more abrasion resistant but less stretchable.
Mono is the opposite and cheaper. |

My Personal opinion......
When fishing in open seas....good quality nylon is fine... When Pond Fishing...I swear by FC leaders....got the SeaLine FC recently....Si Beh Good!!!

Monofilament has higher line memory, which means it will bee hoon more.
Monofilament is also less resistant to UV rays than fluorocarbon.
