anyone tried here before..??

Tried before bro...one of the most horrible surf experience I've ever had.
1)All lagoons would be dried up on low tide.
2)You would sangkot lots of heavy seaweed upon areas you can cast.
3)Also lots of people fix jaring and bubu around the area.
4)Be prepared to be GANGBANGED by lots and i mean LOTS of sandflies.

The only fishable area is the pontoon jetty which one of my guys caught a seabass.

Hopes my little input helps.Of course this was from my one and only experience there. Mayb I dont know the ropes of fishing at Pulau hantu. Any Bro's got good lobang please share. Thanks!!

sometime back i was thinking of giving the place a try after reading abt the CR from a fellow angler's blog.

sandflies are my nemesis.

anyone knows what would be useful against them ? Would the normal insect repellant suffice ?

how bout tryin this 'ORANG MINYAK MASAK' method of insect repellent,apply fresh cookin oil(as in the new one from the bottle)to ur skin like those 'minyak kapak n cousins' where the skin is exposed ONLY..not too much as u may feel very uncomfortable by the 'oily feel'..not even a single insect will land on skin..thats the PROs..


***BUT IF YOU'RE on B.M.W(bus,mrt,walk) kinda anglers,i suggest u bring along ur toiletries cos aftr long hrs out surfin,u'll smell bit diff..thats the CONs..

Lol! Dats hilarious bro!! Y dun u guys juz use d insect repellent supplied by SAF. Works for me. Its set back is juz dat 'hot' feeling..
