Hi All Kakis

I am starting a new thread to our group of 36 to Chia Soon Kelong on 28Jul so that all kakis can take note of the timing and place and also the request I have for all .

After seeing all the comments from various kakis and their opinion, it would be right that we set some ground rules so that we can manage the group. This rule only serve as a guideline and we hope all will try our best to keep to them. I know there is not going to be a rule that will address or meet everyone’s expectation or needs, all I am hoping is everyone have a good time. Bro Chelsea and myself organized Group Tours either in our current or pass careers hence we know how important it is to let the group to have fun! All it take is only 1 unsatisfied member to spoil the entire trip. All me and Bro Chelsea want is all of you to have fun and hopefully land big Groupers!

Bro Resource, Bro Chelsea and myself will take note of your request, for the next trip, we shall keep it small.

As for bait, I would like all to go with cost sharing, this would also ensure we keep time in check as being a big group, one may get too carried away trying to get baits, additional tackle hence ended up missing the time and affecting the group departing on time.

I respect Bro Yippe being upfront with his needs where he will use a lot more prawns that is why he wish to get his own so that he will be fair to the rest since it’s cost sharing. Since Bro Yippe is the only one indicating he will be getting his own bait, I guess it’s really not an issue.

Baits

We will only get ‘Live’ prawns for that day and below will be the quantity and cost which will be divided by the remaining group of 34.

Total of 12 KG, who to get, Gary’s or Gina is up to me or Bro Chelsea’s decision.

Should anyone wishes to get additional baits such as Dead Prawns, Sotong, Worms and etc, you are free to do so, BUT do not get too carried away and miss the timing.

Timing and Meeting Place

We shall all meet outside Gina’s Shop at 7.15am, please be on time. The boat leaves at 7.45am hence that would give us 30 mins to get things done.

Lunch

In my previous update, no lunch will be provided hence bring your own lunch!

hope everyone is okay with it thanks for understanding as we just want to enjoy our fishing a hobby for a lifetime must treasure our hobby and fun times who know you might get lucky with a big gaotun

I appreciate Chelsea and David running the show for us.

So I would like to ask everyone to help make it easier on them. If you really want to get your own prawns instead of joining the group buy, do let then know by 21st July, don't last minute then ask to withdrawal from the group buy. If they have already reserve or book the quantity with the shop or worst still on the morning already pack liao, then it'll be very "lay-chay" to change. And don't feel bad if you don't join the group buy, its your choice and as long as you're happy with your decision, that's the most important. But do let them know early, please.

Next, Chealsea and David don't make a cent out of this. And don't expect them to carry 20 to 30kg of prawns and water by themselves hor. Even though group buy, must also help to carry. I know most of us are automatic, but just in case some newer kaki thinks that buying includes delievery Better say first.

Lastly, there shouldn't be anyone backing out by now "lah hor". "Boh-pian" type of situation then don't say, otherwise do be fair to them.

yes i already inform gina about it organising is hard but went have great kakis like you fishyden understanding and full of laughter nothing without good company

hi guys, just an advice. call up to Gina 1 day advance to inform her that you need how much prawn for that 28th July date and we will go collect at certain timing.
For all my 6 years of Chia Soon organizing, there was once that Gina shop does not has live prawn when we rushed to her shop in the early morning when the shop just opened, then we LL have to go for Garry shop to buy. Because we 'expect' Gina shop sure has live prawn in the morning but was wrong. And also please inform the old man or anyone to pack the prawn into 500g per pack, if not buy 10kg prawn and 3kg all died......when reached the kelong(the boat ride is about 60 to 75min long depend whose boat that you are taking).
