Reference - Shimano SEA 2011/12 and 2012/20113 Catalog

Notice that the JDM Alivio is available since the 2011/12 catalog, can continued into the 2012/13.

When I visited TTC last week, they have only one single piece left (2500 sized), I thought that this series will be discontinued (poor sales maybe?). After I attended the Product showcase last weekend, and bought the catalog, I can still see that this series seems set to continue, in fact it is labeled as 'New'.

Question - Does Shimano SEA, particularly SG, have any influence on the product series that TTC stocks up? If no, then I guess I will have to purchased it in our friendly northern neighbor, since Alivio reel series are not covered by warranty anyway.

Oh, I am interested in the JDM Spin, Alivio C3000 only. Yes, it is a cheap budget reel, but that's the cheapest C3000 I can find in the catalog.

There are a few version of the alivio reel from Shimano, one is the JDM model and the other non JDM model.

Not sure which model you are referring to for the size 2500, usually they will maintain resonable stock level for budget range

As for the C3000 size you are looking at, yes, alivio it is one of the best budget reel around and it comes with mono line filled.

I am referring to JDM Alivio, if TTC have only one piece of 2500 left and none for all other sizes, is that considered reasonable stock level?

You have yet or reply on 'Does Shimano SEA, particularly SG, have any influence on the product series that TTC stocks up?'

Dear Shimano Singapore.

I would like to file a complain concerning my orders of 2 Shimano Reels - both are high-end premium reels and was quoted by TTC that it takes 1 month or at most 2 months for stock to arrive after I confirm my order by paying the deposit($). My order was taken/accepted by TTC with payment completed in April. Until today, I was told the reels have not arrives and it is or most likely in September. They stated no stock. BTW, I travel to Japan frequently, the last 2 mths and I can buy the same reels from Japan Store at a cheaper rate without the need to wait. There are stocks in a couple of Japanese Tackle shop at Osaka & Tokyo.

Why would I be so dumb to wait 5 to 6 mths for a reel that cost more?

The worst case TTC refuse to refund my deposit, stating Shimano Singapore Defaulted the shipment. They quoted me 1 month and says at most 2 months, now they cannot pay back my deposit as Shimano Singapore(SEA) refuse to cancel the order. I want to be concisely clear that I will not be ordering the 2 premium reels if TTC and Shimano Singapore have told me the wait is more than 2 months.

Can you(Shimano SEA) send me an official email stating who is the party at fault? Singapore Singapore (SEA) or is it TTC fault. I'm visiting the Consumer Association this Saturday to Formally file a Complain Letter. My email is sg571958@yahoo.com.sg or PM me as I would like to clarify which party is liable thru a face to face conversion.

Extremely Upset

Hi Maxima,

Thanks for the support.

I have checked with TTC, not sure if you are the customer that placed the order with TTC on the 21st April 2012, EngetSu C3000HGMS and Calcutta Conquest 300JM?

If you are the customer, your reel will be ready for collection by today evening.

If not, pls send us your full name, contact number and TTC purchase order slip serial number to sales@shimano.com.sg

Thanks

If you are referring to the SW series, then there is only 1 version, the JDM version

For the light tackle series, the easier ways is that the Non-JDM version has a spare spool.

JDM come with option of PG and HG

weihon, we have stock for the forcemaster 500BXG
As this is not a common length, msot dealers might not stock it.

You can request for our direct dealers to special order in for you.
They usually would require you to pay a deposit before ordering.
Please refer to store for details.

We recommend you place your order with Tan Thong Cheong Co.

Thanks
