Dear Guru here,
recently i got myself a Shimano Caranx Kaibutsu, given the PE rating is Pe2 to Pe4. i wonder is the prefect reel match a Twinpower 6000 HG?

8000 (shimano size) reel seem to be a rating to match....

can i say is a good match given the PE rating for the rod?
please advice.

Your 6000HG will pair well with the Kaibutsu Light Pleasure. Wink

bro, thanks for the input.
my issue now is when i fixed the reel to the rod....
the rod looked damn thick and the 6000 HG look damn small.....
i guess technically is ok but visually it looked damn weird.

Haha, some popping blanks are quite broad especially at the base. Just a matter of getting used to it. After awhile, you won't pay attention anymore...... Wink

Otherwise, get a Hots. Their blanks are thinner for the same rating.

Kaibutsu has the longest handle butt so far for all the popping rods that I know in the market and the latest compact light weight designed for all Twinpower reels make the reel look smaller that why your current setup look a bit offset.

I can not really recall the new Twinpower series the 4000 & 5000 body frame size is the same but I am not too sure whether the 6000 & 8000 also the same body frame size or not if they are the same too than even you get the Twinpower 8000 your setup still look funny.

TP SW5/6k have the same body. Ard 400+gm
For this rod 8000 will have better balance for the setup.
