This seller "Hizodge" needs to be commendated for his sincerity and man of principle attitute.

I bought over his Basstera at an exceptionally good price. When we met up I was checking on the damaged epoxy and guide and forgot to test the rod on whether the top portion fit into the lower portion of the rod. After we left that place I tried to slot the top portion into the lower portion of the rod, it was hell of tight and I almost couldn't take it out after that. No wonder he damaged the epoxy of that guide and he was so anxious to sell it off. I sms him about the problem and ironically he knew the problem and offered to refund me the money instantenously. I told him I will try to fix the problem and let him know the next day. When I got home i took a piece of fine sandpaper and sand it down and then applied a layer of lemon pledge and the upper portion of the rod fit well into the ferule of the lower portion. Problem fixed.

This morning I deliberately sms him to test his sincerity. I sms him and asked if I could return the rod to him as he knew the problem persisted. After a while he replied "Is ok bro....I got no use for it too...Can I have your acc no. I transfer to you. I sms you after I transfer done."

I then replied to him, Thanks for being a gentlemen. I got the problem fixed already and the rod is working fine. No refund is required. Glad to know you are a man of principle and a good kaki to deal with.

3 Cheers to him

glad to know there is such a nice person.

but my advice for buying 2nd hand rod. you will never know whether the rod has been injured or not. so must be extra careful.

yes agreed but even new rod they get injured during shipment, so nothing to worry especially if it is dead cheap, BATA-buy and throw away lor. use it for a couple of trip worth money already. I know of someone custom built a Calstar rod and first trip out in the sea piak already so it all faithed.
