Please beware of www.japantackle.com. I have just bought a Shimano Biomaster 6000PG online from them and received one which is Made In Malaysia.

Bro, do some homework on the net before buying. There is nothing wrong with Japantackle selling Shimano product that is made in Malaysia.

Bro, pls do your homework before you comment. The online store states that they sell Japan domestic models and ships from Japan. Why would one pay a premium and ship from Japan if it is made in Malaysia. I am just letting the bros here know but buying from them is still at your own prerogative.

I did. And bought many things from them. Do everyone here a favour, let someone else check your homework before you post.

They mentioned that they specialized in Japan Domestic Models of Shimano and Daiwa reels and tuning parts not sell only JDM products. It is 2 different meaning altogether.

JDM means Japan Domestic Model, but does it mean that it's to be made in Japan ? JDM in my perspective is for sale in Japan correct ? Not sure myself though, and would like to know more.

JDM - Japan Domestic Market. It doesn't have to mean that it is made in Japan.

There are many Malaysia made Shimano sold in Japan. What you pay is what you get.

many years ago theres this company "olympic co. ltd" in japan which sells JDM products at 300% its price compared to spore.
not only japanese brands but also foreign brands.
for example abu reels which looks 100% the same with what u can get here. and with also the engraving "made in sweden"
the thing is these models are made specially for the japanese market. hence actual meaning of JDM is "Japanese Domestic Market".
some say its of better quality, some say "the quality control" is of extreme high standards and some might also suggest that the materials used are of different grade.

but end of the day, i strongly believe "what you pay is what you get"

the reel in the background is 100% similar to the "olympic one" but cost only a fraction of the price.
